Position Summary:
Under general supervision of the Assistant Director, Engineering and Technical Services in the Department of Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) in the Division of Facilities Planning and Management (FP&M), the incumbent will be responsible for designing and maintaining the EH&S website and supporting the staff responsible for implementing the department's online training. The person will work collaboratively with team members in EH&S, FP&M, and the University's IT staff in AIMS and DoIT to support the related technology systems and ensure excellent customer service.

This position provides a combination of web support, e-learning and IT services including development, maintenance, data collection reporting tools, IT support and training for staff in all EH&S teams.

The staff of EH&S are committed to promoting and protecting safety, health and the environment of the campus. EH&S professionals provide guidance, technical consultation and expertise to the campus community in the areas of animal, biological, chemical, radiation, fire and general safety.

Additional Information:
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
* Knowledge of web layout and design principles and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for rapid prototyping
* Knowledge of inter- and intranet, web servers and browsers, and computer operating systems
* Familiarity with Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP)
* Knowledge of WordPress standards and functionality
* Knowledge of supporting applications from outside vendor, e.g., Firehouse, Onsite, Box, VoIP, and Quickbooks
* Skill in using Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
* Familiarity with e-Learning authoring tools such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Presenter or iSpring Presenter
* Familiarity with e-learning content management systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle or Cornerstone On Demand
* Web experience including creation of wireframes, storyboards, user and process flows and site maps
* Basic coding skills necessary to support design of the department?s website and maximize use of e-learning authoring and content management tools used to produce EH&S online training modules and the website
* Knowledge of Federal Accessibility standards, W3C and US Section 508 Standards
* Effective communication and inter-personal skills
* Organizational skills and ability to plan, organize and prioritize work activities and assignments
* Ability to operate a variety of computer platforms and operating systems including Mac OS and Windows
* Ability to research and learn new software and adapt to changes in technology
* Ability to maintain professional, service-focused relationships with diverse customer base and co-workers
