Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's degree required; health or computer science related a plus. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Experience working with medical and/or clinical research applications preferred.

Experience developing and delivering computer-based end-user training, software demos and presentations to technical and non-technical users preferred.

Strong project management and business analyst skills.

Familiarity with the implementation, management and training of commercial software.

Prefix assignment determined by years of releveant work experience. A minimum of 7 years of experience is required for appointment at the senior level.

Position Summary:

The Clinical Research Systems Manager (CRSM) is the overall product owner for the UW Carbone Cancer Center clinical trials management systems, OnCore.

The Clinical Research Systems Manager (CRSM) will follow and act on the direction set forth by the OnCore Operational Steering Committee (OSC) charged with setting policies, procedures, priorities, standards, and overall OnCore strategy. The CRSM will participate in these discussions and decisions and be responsible to provide information to the OSC as part of the decision-making process.

The Clinical Research Systems Manager (CRSM) will have direct decision making responsibilities associated with overseeing OnCore application administration efforts, reporting development efforts, overall user support, training efforts, business analyses, system integration efforts, and application updates and testing.

Direct supervisory responsibilities of the OnCore Support Desk will be required. The CRSM will report to the Assistant Director for Informatics for the UW Carbone Cancer Center.

Must possess superior communication skills (verbal and written); must have excellent technical computer skills; be extremely comfortable working with technologists; be able to work independently using initiative and good judgement; have good leadership, supervisory, organization, and project management skills. Be able to work in a team environment; ability to work on multiple projects and under strict deadlines; excellent customer service skills are necessary. Strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy required to interact effectively with a broad spectrum of people, both individually and in groups. Possess high level of integrity concerning HIPAA privacy regulations; working knowledge of clinical trial design, FDA regulations, IRB requirements, and good clinical practice. Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, prossess strong problem solving, analytic, and troubleshooting skills; Demonstrated ability to organize data into effective and concise reports.
