Job Summary:
This position provides administrative support for the Office of the Vice Provost for Information Technology/Chief Information Officer (CIO). The CIO's Office is comprised of the CIO and executive staff that provide strategic leadership for information technology for the entire UW-Madison campus. The CIO also has leadership authority for the Division of Information Technology (DoIT), UW-Madison's central IT organization. The CIO and Executive Staff provides: strategic IT planning, IT policy guidelines, cybersecurity, communications and public relations, IT governance, cloud computing, cyberinfrastructure, research computing, administration and outreach, and leadership in IT usage in teaching and learning.

The CIO Office Executive Assistant provides complex administrative tasks for the leaders and staff who are members of the CIO office. This includes scheduling and organizing events sponsored by the CIO Office staff members. It requires managing the calendars of people who meet regularly with the institutions' highest decision makers. It also includes the coordination of travel arrangements and national speaking engagements for the CIO office staff members and the coordination and organization of hosted regional and national conferences. It also includes assisting with the coordination and facilitation of IT Governance meetings, presentations and supporting materials.
