Summary: The English Department seeks an outstanding teacher-scholar in writing studies, literacy and/or rhetoric at the rank of assistant professor. The ideal candidate will have an interdisciplinary profile, be able to mentor students across the field of Composition & Rhetoric, and conduct research that engages current or historical public problems. Area of specialty is open.
Duties: The successful candidate will teach four courses per year at the undergraduate and graduate levels, develop and maintain a research program appropriate to a major research university, participate in a lively graduate program, and contribute rank-appropriate service in the program and department.
