Minimum $53,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

Degree and area of specialization:
Bachelor's degree required in the field of health and wellness (i.e. community health, public health, kinesiology, nutrition, recreation) or a related field; highest consideration will be given to candidates with a Master's degree in Public Health, Health Education, Health Promotion or a related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
A minimum of two (2) years professional experience in organizational wellbeing programming and related work is required. Experience in the planning and implementation of wellbeing programming and collaborative wellbeing programs required.

Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Wellbeing develops strategies, programming, and resources for integrating wellbeing into all aspects of the Division's operations and programs. The position is focused on the Divisional and University's mission of health and wellbeing and meeting the holistic needs of a wide array of campus constituents. The Assistant Director of Wellbeing will establish the vision, design, and implementation of wellbeing for all users of Recreational Sports (soon to be renamed University Recreation and Wellbeing). This person will work in coordination with the Director and other campus collaborators to deliver comprehensive wellbeing services to the University. This position is expected to build, develop, and cultivate relationships with numerous Division, campus, and community constituents. The Assistant Director of Wellbeing must stay abreast of local, regional, and national trends in collegiate health and wellness. This position will initially report to the Director of UW-Madison's Division of Recreational Sports.
