Middlebury College seeks a Civil Rights & Title IX Coordinator to lead Middlebury's efforts to ensure that Middlebury maintains an environment free from discrimination based on gender, disability, and all other legally protected identity characteristics. The Coordinator supports the Middlebury community by leading education, outreach and training to reduce incidents of discrimination (including but not limited to incidents of sexual misconduct, dating violence, stalking, and harassment); ensuring that there is easily accessible information in the event of an incident; and coordinating compliance with Title IX requirements.
Bachelor's degree required; a JD or Masters in a related field is strongly preferred. 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a student conduct, student life, diversity, legal, human resources or similar field. Knowledge and experience with restorative practices is highly valuable. Must have experience with sexual misconduct, harassment, and/or discrimination investigations; and excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills, including training and presentation skills.
