Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Gifted Education

The Center for Gifted Education (CFGE) at The College of William and Mary seeks a postdoctoral research fellow to provide research support for gifted and talented curriculum effectiveness studies. The research fellow will work closely with the CFGE Directors of Research and Curriculum to design and conduct studies related to curriculum efficacy. The research process will include the selection and development of measurement instruments, both qualitative and quantitative; coordination of research activities with school districts; analysis of the data collected; and writing for publication in peer-reviewed journals. In addition to this research role, the researcher will use her or his expertise to support the development of CFGE curriculum materials as needed.

This is a one-year, full-time appointment, with renewal expected for a second year, contingent upon satisfactory performance.

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. from an accredited college or university in Gifted Education or a related field and have teaching experience at the Pre-K-12 level. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, writing, and data analysis skills are required.

The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating research studies with student populations and in developing curriculum materials. At least one first-authored article or chapter in a peer-reviewed publication is preferred.
