DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL AID, VETERAN AFFAIRS, AND RECORDS
Virginia Western Community College, located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of the Roanoke Valley, is accepting applications for a Director of Financial Aid, Veteran Affairs, and Records. This is a full-time, twelve-month administrative faculty position, reporting directly to the Dean of Student Affairs. The Director of Financial Aid, Veteran Affairs, and Records is responsible for the professional direction of the institution's comprehensive programs of student financial aid, veterans' affairs and records office. General direction is provided to each functional area. The incumbent develops strategic plans, budgets, operational goals and assessments of program effectiveness. Serves as a member of the Student Affairs management team.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED: The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, Business Administration or related field. Experience with financial aid in a college/university setting. Experience interpreting and applying policy. Excellent communication skills, including presentation skills.
DESIRED: Management experience, preferably in a higher education financial aid setting. Experience in financial aid in a community college setting.
