PCI Compliance Specialist/Reconciliation Accountant

Assure University PCI compliance with all industry standards, federal, state and University policies and procedures for credit card processing. Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts to ensure proper data is being recorded and reflected in our financial system.

Type of Recruitment

Knowledge, skills and abilities
Basic knowledge or work experience with payment card industry data security standards ( PCI DSS ), Red Flag regulations, or government programs/regulations. Considerable knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and their application general ledger reconciliations. Working knowledge of automated financial and accounting systems. Proficient skill in the use of PC based word processing and spreadsheet software, such as MS Excel, MS Word and MS Access to record, reconcile, monitor and report data. Good public speaking skills as it relates to training others. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to provide good customer service and work effectively with the University community.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and research financial data and interpret applicable laws and regulations.

Level and type of experience
Basic work experience with payment card industry data security standards ( PCI DSS ) or government programs/regulations. Basic work experience in reconciling and researching selected general ledger data.

Preferred knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification
B S degree in Accounting or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic experience specializing in PCI policies and procedures or government program with focus on ensuring and maintaining compliance. Basic experience in reconciling and researching selected general ledger data. Some work experience in a Higher Education environment.

Conditions of Employment
Some overtime may be required.
