Assistant Professor, Director of English Education

The Department of English at Missouri State University (in Springfield, Missouri) invites applications for the position of Director of English Education at the rank of tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August 2019. Duties of the position include overseeing the English Education program (BSEd and MSEd), coordinating with the College of Education and area schools, participating in program assessment, advising students, and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.

 

Ph.D. in English, English Education, or closely related field by August 15, 2019; evidence of successful college/university teaching and active research agenda; at least three years of successful English/Language Arts teaching experience at the secondary level; expertise to teach graduate and undergraduate secondary English methods, literature, and writing courses; and demonstrated competency in culturally responsive pedagogy.
