The University of Utah Department of Radiation Oncology is recruiting for the position of Assistant Professor - Career Line, Clinical Track. Candidates for the position of Radiation Oncologist must have an MD or MD/PhD degree or equivalent. Applicants must have completed an accredited radiation oncology residency and be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology.

Main clinical responsibilities will be at the new Farmington Center, but will also include time at the main Huntsman Cancer Hospital. The successful candidate will possess strong clinical and interpersonal skills. An interest and experience in doing clinical research will be a valuable asset.

Job duties for a radiation oncologist with a faculty appointment will include patient care in close collaboration with corresponding oncology teams, participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinics, research with mentorship by senior faculty as appropriate and teaching of radiation oncology residents. Workload will be distributed in approximately the following ratios: 75% clinical mission effort, 20% research mission effort, and 5% teaching mission effort.
