Details

Job Summary:
1. Position will reside within the Division of PM&R
2. Direct reports will be to the Chair of PM&R
3. Indirect report to PM&R Outpatient Medical Director at PCH
4. Will staff the outpatient clinic within PCH , performing new and return visit appointments
5. Spasticity Management, EMG and Transition Clinics at the University of Utah PM&R Clinic
6. Will collaborate with the other PM&R PCH faculty regarding rounding, journal club, coverage, research, etc.
7. Fulltime position (40+ hours per week)
8. Full University of Utah benefit package (see HR representative) including retirement, health coverage, etc.
9. Administrative support provided

Essential Requirements for Applicant:
1. Residency trained in PM&R
2. PM&R Board Certified/eligible, Pediatric PM&R Board Certified preferred
3. Track record of clinical excellence
4. Experience with pediatric rehabilitation population, especially spasticity and adults with disorders of pediatric onset.
5. Experience with intrathecal pump and other spasticity management
6. Excellence in clinical evaluation and management of the patient with congenital pediatric neuromuscular diseases, including transition clinics to adult care
7. Dedicated commitment to, and enthusiasm for, participating in fellow, resident and medical student education
8. Dedicated commitment to scholarly activity and has demonstrated either a proven track record of scholarly output or exceptional academic potential
9. Excellent interpersonal skills
10. Team player
11. Potential and interest in leading program development initiatives

Clinical Environment Will Include:
1. 1-2 exam rooms per clinic
2. RN & MA OP Clinic Support
3. Pediatric trained therapists (PT/OT/ST)
4. EMG and ultrasound machines and related supplies
5. Physician work space in clinic
6. Administrative office space
7. Support staff available (scheduler, medical secretary, etc.)
