The Division of Microbiology and Immunology within the University of Utah's Department of Pathology announces new tenure-track faculty positions in Immunology, Inflammation, and/or Infectious Diseases. Particular areas of interest include, but are not limited to, host-pathogen interactions (bacterial, viral and parasitic), mucosal immunity, immunometabolism, innate immunity, autoimmunity, allergy, T and/or B lymphocyte biology. The primary criteria for selection will be excellence and creativity in research and scholarship. Successful candidates will be expected to establish a vigorous research program that fosters division and institutional collaborations. Applications are solicited to join an enthusiastic and well-funded faculty in the Division of Microbiology and Immunology with a track record of fostering success with junior faculty including 3 current recipients of the NIH Director's New Innovator Awards. The ideal candidates must have a MD, PhD, or DVM degree and research track record that supports the establishment of an independent research program that complements ongoing research at the institution. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and appointments will include competitive start-up packages.
