Cardiac Surgeon

The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Department of Surgery at the University of Utah is actively recruiting a Cardiac Surgeon at the Assistant/Associate Professor level on the tenure track. Candidates will be BC/BE and successfully completed an ACGME -approved Thoracic Surgery Residency. The successful candidate will be expected to materially contribute to the further development of existing programs in structural heart disease including transcatheter valves. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to perform the entire spectrum of adult cardiac surgery. As a tenure track position, a demonstrable record and desire to pursue clinical, basic, and/or translational research is required The position requires functioning as an Attending Surgeon at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics, the Salt Lake Veteran's Administration Health Care System and the Huntsman Cancer Institute. In addition, applicant will be expected to participate actively in the teaching of Thoracic Surgery residents.
