The Department of Political Science at the University of Utah invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions in its public administration program at the assistant professor level. Candidates should provide evidence of a potentially excellent and sustainable record of research, and demonstrated evidence of the ability or the potential to generate extramural funding. The successful applicants must relate well to early and mid-career students. The starting date for these two positions is July 1, 2016.

Position in Public Policy with Strong Preference for Health Policy or Health Policy-Related Fields. The successful applicant for this position will be expected to teach courses in both the Master of Public Administration and Master of Public Policy programs. Examples of courses to be taught include Public Policy Theory & Applications, Public Policy Analysis, and Research Design and Methods. Substantive policy courses, especially health-related public policy and administration, are highly desired. An excellent research agenda addressing topics in health and health-related public policy or related fields, is also highly desired. The ability to collaborate across disciplines and colleges on health policy-related research will be essential.

The University of Utah is a Carnegie RU/VH research university. The Master of Public Administration Program at the University of Utah is NASPAA accredited.
