Part-time Specialist Driver - UFRA (Part time -Variable hours)

Summary:
If you have a Class A, CDL driver's license, a good driving record, and are looking to work part-time as a driver, please consider working for UFRA. Under the supervision of the transportation manager, this position supports faculty, staff, and department operations by procuring, maintaining, delivering, fabrication, and assembling equipment, props, tools, facility needs, and supplies necessary for the Utah Fire & Rescue Academy.

Required Qualifications:
Must have a current Class A, CDL drivers license with a good driving record.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of commercial driving rules and regulations, as well as state and federal regulations.
• Knowledge of mechanical operations, standard repair procedures, techniques, and hydraulic systems.
• Skills in maintenance and repair of large mobile equipment, such as semi-trucks, loaders, and firefighting equipment.
• Interpersonal, problem-solving and decision making skills.
• Skills in written and oral communication.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Ability to acquire and maintain certifications requiring the various duties, including, but not exclusive to a CDL and forklift operations.

Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation with a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of experience related to the summary of duties or any combination of education and experience totaling three years of experience related to the summary of duties.

Physical Requirements:
Frequently standing, sitting, walking, grasping, talking, and lifting greater than 25 pounds.
Occasional climbing, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing/pulling, and fine hand manipulation.

Benefits Summary:
You may be eligible for a 3 credit hour or 1 class tuition waiver after 6 consecutive months of employment and a minimum of 475 hours worked. Dependents do not qualify for a waiver.

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $15.23 to $19.04 per hour
