Description:

The Sociology department seeks applications for a rolling pool for temporary, part-time Lecturer positions to teach undergraduate Sociology courses on an as-needed basis. Courses can be offered as face-to-face instruction, online, or as a hybrid. This is a non-tenure track, part-time appointment and is not benefits eligible. Lecturer appointments are made on a semester-to-semester basis.

Our undergraduate program offers our nearly 300 majors a foundation in sociological theory, research methods, and both qualitative and quantitative methods. Our unique internship program also provides students with invaluable experience and skills that will prepare them for the workforce upon graduation. With one of the most diverse student bodies in the nation, we seeks to recruit and retain a diverse community of scholars.

Candidates with a doctoral degree in Sociology will be given a priority. Applicants with a Master s degree in Sociology will also be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who hold current relevant professional credentials, have college or university teaching experience, or prior relevant industry experience.
