Professor of Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music

Job Description:

Position: Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music (fulltime, tenure-track)

Date of Appointment: August 2018

Duties: Assume an active role in developing the collaborative piano and chamber music programs at TCU. Teaching duties may include applied lessons in collaborative piano and courses in collaborative piano literature according to experience and expertise. Actively recruit students for the Master of Music degree in Collaborative Piano. Serve as mentor to students in the collaborative piano program. Coach students in all aspects of collaborative playing, including vocal accompanying and instrumental chamber music. Maintain an active professional artistic profile, advise undergraduate and graduate majors, participate in departmental activities appropriate for a faculty member at a major research university. Other duties as defined by the Director of the School of Music.

Rank and Salary: Tenure track position; rank and salary negotiable depending on experience.

Contract Period: August 2018-May 2019

Job Qualifications:

Qualifications Required: Doctorate or equivalent experience. Demonstrable success in teaching at the college level. Performing experience as a collaborative pianist in both vocal and instrumental areas.
