Job Description:

The Educational Leadership Higher Education program offers masters and doctoral degrees (both Ed.D. and Ph.D.). POSITION: Tenure track position (open rank) in Higher Educational Leadership.

JOB DESCRIPTION: This faculty member will:
Teach higher educational leadership graduate courses potentially including postsecondary leadership, college student development, history and philosophy of higher education, ethics, diversity and inclusion, research methodologies, and/or other program topics as needed.
Conduct and publish peer-reviewed research, and disseminate original work at state, national, and international venues.
Effectively supervise doctoral student research, to include chairing dissertation and capstone committees.
Assume additional responsibilities including student advising and mentoring, program development,and service.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. An earned doctorate in Educational Leadership, or related field, with an emphasis in Higher Education.
2. A scholarly research agenda and potential for making national contributions to the field of higher education leadership.
3. A minimum of 3 years of teaching and/or leadership experience in higher education.
4. Evidence of strong written and oral communication skills.
5. An academic record of excellence in research and teaching appropriate to rank.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity and access.
2. Five years' experience as a leader in a higher education setting.
3. Five years' experience in teaching in higher education contexts.
4. A commitment to/or experience with institutional partnerships
5. Rank of associate or full professor

STARTING DATE: January or August, 2019

SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
