General Function:
The Career Services Specialist will conduct career service activities and facilitate job placement information and support for students, alumni, the college and employers. The goal of this position is to ensure students, alumni and employers are aware of and utilizing Career Services to assist with post-program employment. This position will also work closely with the Division of Quality Assurance and Performance Funding to collect and report employment information for TBR purposes. The Career Services Specialist is also expected to work closely with appropriate individuals in the Student Services Division to provide appropriate career services and job opportunity information.
The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach will work with the Head Women's Soccer Coach and will require flexibility to work at times including evenings and weekends.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requirements include all of the following: a Bachelor's degree in social science discipline, human resources, business, marketing, or a related area, or the equivalent experience by May 10, 2018; a minimum of one year of experience in a teaching, academic advising, career readiness, or workforce development environment; experience coaching soccer at the high school or college level.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High-level comfort using PC and Microsoft Office software especially Excel, as well as peripherals like webcams, printers, and scanners
- Demonstrated history of developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time
- Excellent written, verbal, group presentation, and communication skills
- Prefer experience in organizing, writing and presenting reports and presentations
- Precise attention to detail and ability to follow explicit directions, processes, and policies
- Excellent communication skills along with a helpful disposition necessary to deal effectively and courteously with internal and external contracts
- Ability to multi-task and handle a high pressure environment with timeline pressures
- Must be able to work a varied work a varied work schedule to accommodate the needs of the adult student
