Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications or related fields or equivalent experience. Five years of project management or political engagement related experience, including two years of supervisory experience. Demonstrated ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential strategic initiatives.

General Function:

Under the direction of the President, provides complex and confidential project management in support of the strategic mission of the College. The primary duties and responsibilities involve managing special projects of the President's office, government relations for the College, and the oversight of personnel in the areas of Institutional Effectiveness and Institutional Research. General functions include the following: research and analysis of complex data; project management; and representing the President's charge with constituents and government initiatives. This position includes demonstrated ability to solicit external funding via grants, gifts and partnerships.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Builds and nurtures relationships to serve as a resource for the President and point of contact as designated for key constituents to resolve complex issues and help move forward strategic priorities.
  • Facilitates the implementation of approved strategic initiatives.
  • Designs and implements action plans to achieve operational goals, objectives and policies and procedures of the College. Works closely with the President, all Vice Presidents, and Leadership to ensure effective delivery of services and execution of Institutional Effectiveness initiatives.
  • Oversees the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment along with other Institutional Research Personnel.
  • Represent the views of the President through introducing and promoting college projects and initiatives to a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including members of local, regional, and state government.
  • Works closely with public, community, and government relations' personnel to increase and maintain visibility of the college's projects and programming.
  • Provide on-going analysis and delivery of projects to maximize use of resources including time, people, and money. Monitor project costs and performance, service levels and other metrics required to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
  • Develop and deliver complex presentation materials including charts, graphs and other data representations and make recommendations for new operational strategies, programs and/or revisions to existing policies to senior leadership and other diverse groups.
  • Develop and review strategies to ensure College projects align with strategic plan and desired outcomes.
  • Work with campus leadership to oversee complex, high-priority projects with responsibility for outcomes.
  • Conduct special administrative and research studies on a wide range of subjects related to overall management and operations of the college, as well as special projects and programs initiated by the President.
  • Coordinate compliance initiatives as charged by the President of the College.
  • Other reasonable related duties as assigned.
