Position Summary:
Provide support for all client device and application needs to ensure college computer users will be able to complete their work in a timely and efficient manner. Provide supervision and coordination of daily work for Client Services personnel. Travel to off campus locations is required.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise, coordinate, prioritize, and assign work for Client Services personnel.
Ensure customer service delivery to faculty, staff and students.
Assists in the upkeep of the hardware and software inventories as needed, assist with proper disposal of computer hardware and software as needed.
Install, relocate, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, and repair a broad range of networked and non-networked client devices; networked and non-networked software applications; build, maintain, and utilize images for hardware deployment; troubleshoot and repair wireless configuration problems that can not be resolved at the IT Help Desk.
Evaluate and recommend various hardware devices and software applications for compatibility with existing college hardware, software and network platforms.
Provide limited training for hardware and software applications.
Maintain warranty and repair records, inventory, contract updates, and ensure proper software licensing laws are followed and adequate quantities are maintained.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Associates degree in computer-related discipline or related field and 4 years of information system hardware/software support experience in a Windows-based environment; or high school diploma or GED equivalent and 6 years of information system hardware/software support experience in a Windows-based environment.
3 years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in a relevant field.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Work Characteristics:
Ability to lead a team of technically oriented individuals in the support of the information resources of the college.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications, anti-virus/anti-spam applications.
Experience with LANs, WANs, and wireless access.
Ability to diagnose computer related problems by utilizing industry best practices troubleshooting techniques, technical manuals, diagnostic information, analytical skills, and vendor support.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Pay Rate: $53,050 - $62,995 annual salary depending on experience
