The University of South Carolina Upstate invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the School of Education. The School consists of 28 faculty and 900 undergraduate majors with degrees in early childhood, elementary, middle level, physical education, secondary, special education, exercise and sport science, and child development and family studies. Master's degrees are offered in early childhood, elementary, and special education: visual impairment. The School of Education is accredited by CAEP, and its professional preparation programs are approved by the South Carolina Department of Education and the respective professional organizations. The Dean is the chief administrative officer and academic leader of the School reporting to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. 

Required: Earned doctorate from an accredited institution and qualify as a full professor in the School. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of three years of administrative experience at the department head, division head or center director level or above with five years preferred.
