Evolutionary Biology – Assistant Professor of Biology

The Department of Biology at Lander University, a public comprehensive university in the Upstate region of South Carolina, is poised to hire a tenure-track assistant professor effective August 2018 with a broad training in evolutionary structure and functionality.  Teaching responsibilities include introductory courses in biology for non-majors and for majors, sophomore-seminar course, and the possibility of developing a course related to one’s specialty.  The ideal candidate will be focused on student-centered learning and innovative teaching practices and be prepared to maintain an undergraduate research program.

Minimum qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology or a related field and demonstrate aptitude for teaching biology at the college level.
