Lander University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminology to begin in August 2019. Ph.D. in Criminology or Criminal Justice is required with college-level teaching experience preferred.  In addition to courses related to the candidate’s areas of interest, the ability to teach courses in criminological theory, policy, and ethics is required. Ability to teach Research Methods is welcome.

 

Lander’s Department of Government, Criminology, and Sociology houses majors in criminology, political science, and sociology and minors in areas such as homeland security, non-profit management, public administration, and pre-law. Criminology has growing interest among Lander students and the major is built upon giving students a wide understanding of the field and its connections to political science and sociology. We provide students with strong foundations in theory and research and emphasize experiential learning and applied work. We are looking for a dynamic teacher-scholar who will mentor and advise students.

Located in the upstate region of South Carolina, Lander is a public comprehensive university committed to teaching in a liberal arts environment and emphasizing experiential learning.
