Chief Operating Officer

Chief Operating Officer - Office of the Chief Information Officer – Medical University of South Carolina

 Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for enhancing the internal organization process and operational infrastructure that will insure that the Office of the Chief Information Officer will fulfill its mission. With a direct reporting staff, the COO will manage the following functions:

•             Financial Management and Oversight

•             Human Resources

•             Operations

•             Planning and Strategic Planning

 Additional Knowledge:

MBA, or advanced degree in Administration.
Strong operational experience in a senior IT management role for at least 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in operational/administrative management, preferably in an academic environment.
