The College of Business Administration at The University of Rhode Island seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank Associate Professor of Marketing beginning in July, 2018.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Candidates are expected to conduct high-quality research that demonstrates intellectual leadership in their area of study. The successful candidate will mentor PhD students as well as develop curriculum and teach at all levels (Ph.D., Masters and Undergraduate) in a variety of courses as required by the school. Service to the college, university and profession are expected. Work with state, regional and global business and professional communities is encouraged.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

1. Earned doctorate from an AACSB -accredited school in marketing or comparably accredited school in economics, psychology, statistics, sociology, or related discipline.

2. Record of publications with marketing relevance in scholarly journals.

3. Demonstrated ability to teach courses in healthcare marketing at the MBA level or courses in global marketing; or research in health care or research in global marketing.

4. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.

5. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, staff, students or the general public.

6. Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.

7. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups/individuals from different races, ethnicity, genders, disabilities and veteran status.

PREFERRED :

1. Evidence of successful research collaborations.

2. Demonstrated experience mentoring PhD students.

3. Demonstrated experience in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate college level.

4. Experience in grant writing.
