Executive Director of Graduate Admissions

West Chester University of Pennsylvania seeks an innovative, visionary, and creative Executive Director of Graduate Admissions. The incumbent will report to the Assistant Vice President of Admissions and work collaboratively with the Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions to assist in strategic university enrollment management. The Executive Director of Graduate Admissions, under the direction of the AVP, will also work collaboratively with senior graduate education leadership and stakeholders to ensure we are recruiting and serving a diverse graduate student population.

The ideal candidate will be results-oriented and student-centric in approach and will bring expertise in graduate enrollment management, and a record of successful strategies and outcomes. In addition, the individual must have significant experience collaborating with colleagues, managing complex and competing demands, and demonstrating data-informed problem solving and decision-making. The Executive Director of Graduate Admissions should be committed to recruiting graduate students from diverse and varied backgrounds, and from domestic and international populations.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Effectively lead and manage the graduate admissions operations, including supervision of support and professional staff within a collective bargaining environment.
  • Lead a portfolio of high-priority; cross-functional projects aimed at meeting enrollment objectives, aligned with the university’s strategic plan.
  • Work closely with the graduate program coordinators to ensure the ongoing review of all graduate degree applications and timely decision-making.
  • Work with various constituents to create and execute program level graduate recruitment strategies.
  • Collaborate with members of the marketing team to ensure effective, data informed strategies are executed.
  • Maximize use of resources to ensure high quality, student-centric approaches to graduate enrollment management.
  • Continually assess and improve efficiency and effectiveness of all graduate admission functions.
  • Monitor functional processes and staff utilization to operate within the allocated operating and personnel budgets.
  • Create and provide admissions reports; analyze statistical data; and disseminate information on graduate admissions and overall graduate enrollment to a variety of constituents.
  • Analyze business practices and implement enhancements to improve service to constituents served.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree is required. 
  • At least five years of experience in university admissions with progressive leadership experience.  Priority will be given to those with experience in graduate admissions, as well as those with international graduate student recruitment and admissions knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with a CRM is required, and proficiency with TargetX and a document management system is highly desired.
  • Candidates are expected to have expertise in marketing strategies and initiatives.
