During probationary period, position will work M-F, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. After probationary period, position may be required to work M-F, 3:30 pm-11:30 pm during the Fall/Spring semesters and M-F, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm during the summer.

Position Summary Information

Position Summary
Assist Maintenance Repairman II's/Refrigeration Mechanics in the following tasks:
Upkeep and repair of all campus air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems.
Maintenance and repair of coolers and freezers, growth chambers, converters, pneumatic controls, etc.
Trouble shoot systems for leaks, control failure, etc. Assist in repair of faulty controls, electrical equipment, compressors and coils.
Installation/maintenance of window air conditioners, ice machines, water coolers, unit ventilators, fan coil units.
Repair work on steam traps, gauges, valves, regulators, etc.
Repair and installation of new pipes; measure, cut and threat pipe (cast, pvc, copper)
Perform other related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. A successful campus interview and passing a criminal background check required.
Must possess a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree in HVAC & R.
Universal CFC certification.
Experience in working with commercial refrigeration equipment.
Experience in working with commercial DDC i.e. Automated Logic, Siemans, Tridium, Johnson Controls, etc.
Experience working with diverse populations.
