We are seeking candidates for a one-semester faculty position (sabbatical replacement) as Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry for Fall 2018.  The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for teaching organic chemistry and associated lab courses to majors in our ACS accredited program.

Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will report to the Chair of the Science Department and Dean of the School of Arts, Science and Business, and be responsible for carrying out assignments including:

  • Teaching two sections of organic chemistry I lecture and three sections of laboratory
  • Helping prepare materials for organic chemistry lab
  • Holding office hours and review sessions for organic chemistry
  • Participating in University and Department events as needed

Qualifications: 
Earned doctorate or ABD in Chemistry with specific expertise in organic chemistry.  Previous college-level teaching experience is preferred.
