The School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania is growing its faculty by 33% over the next five years. A706612s part of this initiative, the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering is engaged in an aggressive, multi-year hiring effort for multiple tenure-track positions at all levels. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related area. The department seeks individuals with exceptional promise for, or proven record of, research achievement, who will take a position of international leadership in defining their field of study, and excel in undergraduate and graduate education. Leadership in cross-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary collaborations is of particular interest. We are interested in candidates in all areas that enhance our research strengths in
1. Nanodevices and nanosystems (nanophotonics, nanoelectronics, integrated devices and systems at nanoscale),
2. Circuits and computer engineering (analog and digital circuits, emerging circuit design, computer engineering, embedded systems), and
3. Information and decision systems (data science, communications, information theory, control and optimization, robotics, signal processing, network science, markets and social systems).
