Sociology Tenured/Tenure-track Position

The Department of Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for one open rank tenure-track faculty position in the areas of Culture and Interaction, with an emphasis in Economic Sociology, and/or Sociology of Education, with an emphasis on Race and Ethnicity. We seek a methodologically and substantively diverse applicant pool. Applications are encouraged from candidates with expertise in the study of one or both areas. We seek candidates who are committed both to undergraduate and graduate teaching as well as research on these topics. Interested candidates should apply online at http://facultysearches.provost.upenn.edu/postings/1185. Submit a letter of application, CV, two writing samples, and research and teaching statements. Applications for an Assistant Professor position should also include the contact information of three individuals who have agreed to provide letters of recommendation. Recommenders will be contacted by the University with instructions on how to submit letters to the website.
