History Faculty Positions in Latin American History

Latin American History: The History Department at the University of Pennsylvania is searching for two positions in Latin American History, with the expectation that we will make one tenured and one junior appointment. We seek to hire in the colonial field (16th-18th century), irrespective of region, and in the specific field of Mexican history, in any period. Specialists in Brazilian history and the Hispanic Caribbean are welcome to apply. Candidates will participate in the undergraduate and graduate teaching mission of the Department. Junior-level applicants will be interviewed at the American Historical Association Annual Meeting in Denver.

Junior applicants should also include a writing sample of approximately 7500 words in length, and the contact information of three individuals who will provide letters of recommendation.
