ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF ACCOUNTING

Robert Morris University (RMU) invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Accounting and Taxation to begin August 2014. Our primary need is for a faculty member who can teach accounting information systems and auditing. RMU offers faculty members an environment where teaching, research, and service are supported and valued.

Located in suburban Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, RMU is a private university with an enrolllment of 5,000 students. The RMU School of Business (SBUS) is accredited by AACSB International. The SBUS opened a new state-of-the-art building in Fall 2011. The Department offers an undergraduate degree in accounting and a master's degree in taxation. The RMU accounting program is widely considered a premier undergraduate program in Western Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh itself is a thriving community, having been named "America's Most Livable City" by Forbes and The Economist, as the "second best place to raise kids" by Business Week, and as the "best place to buy a home" by Forbes.

Position Requirements:

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution, or be nearing the completion of such a program. Candidates must demonstrate the potential for teaching excellence and research productivity.
