Position Summary
The Division of Business, Applied Technology, College Preparation, and World Languages at Rock Creek Campus is seeking an Instructional Administrative Assistant II to join our team. The Instructional Administrative Assistant II performs a full range of complex administrative duties in support of the Division. A typical day in this role could include providing quality customer service to students from a variety of language and cultural backgrounds; liaising with faculty to develop course schedules; producing reports; developing organizational systems with colleagues and working independently on projects. The Instructional Administrative Assistant II uses a variety of software applications, the College student information system, and other technology to complete tasks efficiently. They build relationships and represent the Division to colleagues across the College community in order to solve problems, coordinate services, and contribute to equitable student success.

3) Experience with complex information systems including, databases, web-based applications, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, and Google platform.

4) Experience maintaining organizational systems and independently prioritizing workload in a fast paced environment.

5) Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze data, reason logically, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate professional judgements.

6) Experience with budget tracking, expense monitoring, and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

High school diploma or equivalent and three years of administrative support experience or one year in a position equivalent to IAA I. College or business school training may be substituted for up to two years of the administrative experience requirement. Other equivalent combinations of experience and training will be considered. Knowledge of: Contemporary office practices, procedures and techniques; spelling, vocabulary, math and grammar skills; use and operation of personal computers and associated standard office software, basic customer service standards and principles; other office resources and equipment including phones and telecommunications systems, fax machines, copy machines, TTY devices; general knowledge of the administrative requirement associated with delivering academic programs and services in an educational environment. Ability to: Develop and maintain effective working relationships; effectively evaluate a situation or issue and develop sound working solutions; maintain a reliable and dependable attendance record; provide effective and responsive service to department customers and contacts; perform all assigned tasks efficiently and accurately and create and maintain accurate records; possess and demonstrate the required level of proficiency in desktop computers and other assigned software or electronic resources, including the Intranet and Internet, as assigned; learn and utilize Banner or other information systems and databases; create and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Starting Salary Expectations
The first two steps of the range are: $3,029 to $3,119 per month. Higher salary placement may be available based on qualifications, experience and internal equity.

Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsWork is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions or changes in work flow. Occasional lifting, guiding, or carrying of light-weight materials or equipment may be required. Position involves sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal. Learned physical skill is required to perform keyboarding and/or ten-key functions.
