Under the direction of the Bond Managing Architect, responsible for leading, planning, and managing the development and implementation of District bond-funded capital projects and assisting with capital investment programs. Typical responsibilities include: campus planning and design improvements; oversight and inspection of construction, renovation, rehabilitation and remodeling projects; organizing and conducting public meetings to gather input. These are performed with the participation of campus/user groups and other key stakeholders. The Bond Project Manager is responsible for managing bond-funded capital improvement projects for the District.
This position will continue through the approval period of the bond which is June 30, 2022.
Candidate Profile
These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position.
Throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on the demonstration of these qualifications.
- Experience working with community and/or neighborhood groups.
- Experience working as an owners representative on projects from initial scoping and programming through construction administration and turnover.
- Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at any given time.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, including abilities to negotiate and exhibit diplomacy.
- Comprehensive understanding of Green Building Certifications, such as LEED, WELL, and Energy Star.
- Proven ability to maintain records and construction documents in an organized user-friendly manner so they may be accessed in the future by facilities management personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with office staff, design teams, and college representatives.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and self-prioritize tasks to meet project needs, goals, and expectations.
- Knowledge and experience of E-Builder program management software and Bluebeam.
- Experience in managing projects for a public-sector owner.
Minimum $73,907 to range mid-point of $90,535. Placement generally will not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience and internal equity. (Full Range is $73,907 to $107,165)
