Position Summary

Portland Community College is seeking an Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator to join our Student Affairs team.

The Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator is an essential member of the Student Affairs team, responsible for interacting effectively with prospective students, parents, high school partners, and the community to inform, promote, and support enrollment in PCC programs. The Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator has a key role in advising new and prospective students on admissions processes, academic policies, and student support resources to guide them through their start at PCC. The Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator also plays a critical role in the development of college recruitment and marketing campaigns, and will need to effectively utilize data and CRM technology to further their work. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and must consistently demonstrate creativity, flexibility,
initiative and effective teamwork.

In your Cover Letter, please describe how you meed the following Success Criteria
- 2 or more years or experience in admissions and recruitment work supporting college-wide and program-specific recruitment and admissions strategies focused on prospective community college or undergraduate students
- Experience developing relationships with an assigned pool of prospective students and guiding them as they move through the admissions process.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing, and presenting large (and small) programs for prospective students and their families (up to 500) to engage and inform of college programs and services.
- Experience utilizing data and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software tools to enhance and develop academic marketing and recruitment strategies
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of best practices around equity and inclusion

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

Bachelor's degree in Education or related fields. Master's degree in same preferred (experience performing the duties of this job may substitute for the degree requirement on a year by year basis).

Demonstrated experience in academic advising, student services or counseling in an academic environment.
Experience in effective supervisory/office management techniques.
Experience in public speaking, educational marketing and recruitment.
Experience in program coordination.

$50,414 to $54,003 (Step 3); based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsWork is typically performed in an office environment with a high level of public contact, both over the phone and in person. During peak recruitment periods incumbent will typically work extended hours, including weekends. This position requires travel within the community and PCC campuses requiring the use of a personal vehicle.

Occasional light lifting of large quantities of recruiting materials and display equipment that may weigh 30-50 pounds required. During peak recruiting seasons requires long hours of standing on cement and gym floors.
