The potential area of focus for this position could be inpatient or outpatient services working with adult or adolescent patients. Focus area will be determined based upon experience and availability. This position is located on the Lindner Center of HOPE campus in Mason Ohio, a northeast suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. Essential Function : Working with a designated supervisor, assist in providing comprehensive, continuous, and personalized care to patients in various areas of behavioral health.
Characteristic Duties
- Collect comprehensive histories of new patients.
- Conduct basic physical and psychosocial assessments of individuals. Work with physicians and other providers in delivery of care.
- Manage common episodic and chronic illnesses and administer medication and treatments as prescribed; obtain treatment consents as needed.
- Provide counseling and health training.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Minimum Qualifications: A Master's degree in Nursing and graduation from an ANA approved Nurse Practitioner Program. Current/valid RN license to practice in the state of Ohio with a valid certificate, and at least 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience is required. Ideally candidates will have prescriptive authority. However, we are willing to work with new graduate APNs to obtain their prescriptive authority.
