DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor all activity in the shop and answer student questions.
- Oversee student clean-up habits while emphasizing safety and best practices.
- Refill solvents when necessary.
- Perform daily & weekly clean-up and organizational tasks.
- Learn safety procedures and SDS information.
- Assist with events and other related printmaking projects per faculty discretion.
- Notify faculty of any ongoing problems with equipment, facilities, lighting, ventilation, and/or student concerns.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 16 years of age. Must be a recipient of work study award. Must be admitted into a degree program at UC. Enrolled at least part- time (one or more credit hours if at a post-secondary institution), with the exception of summer term, or will be a registered student during the next academic term. Student workers must meet the enrollment requirement for the entire term.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with silkscreen, intaglio, lithography, and/or relief processes. Please indicate any printmaking courses you have previously completed. Priority will be given to students with printmaking experience.
- Experience working with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
