The Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering is currently seeking a Research Associate to apply professional knowledge, skills, and laboratory training in conducting experimental research in cell mechanics.

This position will assist with the coordination of laboratory projects or research studies in cell mechanics (particularly centrioles); contribute to projects and studies based on professional training and functional experience; solve problems using combined research knowledge and experimental skills, work independently on whole projects/problems and also collaborate with colleagues; organize and establish experimental data and relate the data to theoretical expectations; assist in the design of complex data processing systems to analyze experimental research; accomplish assigned results for projects/studies, or for significant aspects of larger, more complex assignments; serve as a seasoned level researcher.

Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor degree in a profession/field or equivalent level of knowledge

Preferred Qualifications: A PhD or equivalent in microbiology and/or biological science.
