Job Summary:

Apply professional knowledge, skills, and training to help conduct experimental research work in cancer research; a high level of competency in research. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.

Job Duties: Work as a team member in the laboratory and collaborate with colleagues on major environment/hormone-related cancer research projects. His/her primary research will focus on elucidating the reprogramming effect of endocrine disruptors on cancer risk and characterizing the roles of nuclear receptors in hormone-sensitive tissues and investigating their interrelationship with disease/cancer development. In addition, this position is encouraged to participate in project planning, development of research protocols and present findings at scientific meetings locally, nationally and internationally. Work independently on whole projects/problems; decides how to solve problem and relies on own resources to resolve it; contributes effectively to the collective team effort.

Minimum Qualifications: Successful candidates should possess a Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, cell biology, immunology or relevant scientific discipline with at least 10 years postdoctoral experience in cancer-related research. Expertise in the use of mouse models, molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, human cell culture techniques and translational research is required. Strong publication record, well-developed grant writing, and interpersonal skills are critical.
