Responsibilities:
- Primary duties include overseeing budget, personnel, and facilities; and serving as primary contact for all laboratory staff
- Lab maintenance/management: maintaining laboratory supplies/inventory, equipment, and instruments; organizing laboratory clean-ups and inspections; managing vendor relationships and service contracts; overall lab operations management; acting as the environmental health and safety (EHS) representative; and tracking and enforcing lab training and safety requirements; updating and managing IACUC and IRB protocols
- Financial duties include approving orders and requisitions, managing budgets, and ensuring appropriate record-keeping
- Research facilitation includes working with the PI and lab members to research, write, and submit grants/proposals and assisting in collecting information for proposals and manuscripts; coordinating external and internal collaborations, including overseeing and managing resource allocation; and assisting in developing scientific reports
- Personnel management will include serving as a resource to all lab personnel, assisting with hiring and onboarding, and training lab members on general lab operations. Will perform other duties as requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in field relevant to the research (e.g., biology, cell biology, developmental biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering) or equivalent level of knowledge
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced degree in field relevant to the research preferred
- At least two years of relevant research experience, including tissue culture and molecular biology techniques, as well as, experience with laboratory organization, ordering, safety compliance and protocol writing preferred
- Knowledge of online management systems (Concur and Coeus) a plus
This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
