The College of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology and the Metabolic Institute is looking for a Research Assistant Professor and up to two candidates may be hired. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.

Job Description: The successful candidate should have a focus on diabetes, inflammation, obesity, fatty liver disease, and/or atherosclerosis to complement the existing strengths of the center in studying lipid disorders and cardiometabolic diseases. Although this position is suitable for a early career candidate, more advanced candidates are also encouraged to apply. A generous start-up package as well as ability to participate in the Pathology-Medicine Graduate program are available. Expertise in stable isotope studies (humans or model systems) will be given extra weight.

Minimum Qualifications: PhD and/or MD, PhD in a related field.

Ideal Qualifications: Expertise in adipocyte biology, adaptive and innate immunity, cell signaling mechanisms, and intracellular trafficking are encouraged.
