The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, is currently accepting applications for a full-time research assistant. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.

Essential Function

Assist with the coordination of laboratory projects or research studies in a particular discipline, makes independent contributions to projects and studies based on professional training or functional experience.

Primary Duties
  • Animal Handling (Mouse/Rats), Injections, Tissue Collection
  • Mouse Colony Maintenance
  • Genotyping
  • Contributes effectively to the collective team effort.
  • Analyzes research results.
  • Organizes data search and analysis procedures.
  • Assists in establishing test controls, criteria and research standards.


Minimum Requirements
  • Academic degree in related area of research or equivalent combination education/experience.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with rodents, mouse colony maintenance, and genotyping would be preferred.


This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
