Regional Admissions Representative, Greater New York City

(This position is located in the New York City metro area)

The University of Cincinnati's Main Campus is expanding the admissions team to include a new Regional Enrollment Center Coordinator (regional admissions representative). Based in the greater New York City area , the regional admissions representative will work with admissions leadership to use demographic analyses, market research, and other admissions data to formulate, plan, and execute undergraduate recruitment strategies, plans, and goals for the metropolitan area, including New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordinate and execute recruitment and yield activities for prospective and new students.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations about the University and admissions policies and procedures to prospective students, families, school counselors, community-based organizations and alumni volunteers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with high school and community college counselors and other school, agency, and community officials.
  • Monitor admissions activity within the territory.
  • Review undergraduate admissions applications and make admissions decisions.
  • Use constituent relationship management (CRM) tools.
  • Prepare statistical reports and analyses.
  • Work with main campus staff to develop targeted, segmented, specific communications strategies.
  • Participate in professional organizations and professional development activities within the region.
  • Other duties as requested.


Significant travel, including some overnights and weekends, within the territory between early September to mid-November and mid-January to mid-April is required. Periodic travel to main campus in Cincinnati for training, on-campus events, and interaction with admissions staff and campus colleagues is also expected.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with three (3) years experience; -OR- Associate's degree with five (5) years experience; -OR- seven (7) years experience. Experience must be admissions or enrollment management.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a collegiate environment, especially with the recruitment of students. Additionally the ideal candidate will possess:

  • Outstanding organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence and the ability to execute top-quality projects both independently and as a member of a team.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the work.
  • Motivation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Commitment to a diverse applicant pool and study body, and the ability to work with people from different backgrounds.
  • Experience in the development of school counselor and community college counselor relationships.


Position Physical Requirements:

Must have valid driver's license and the ability to lift and push/pull 40 lbs., stand for long periods of time, and work independently in a home-office environment.
