Program Manager, Accessibility Compliance

Program Manager - Accessibility Compliance Tracking and Data Analysis

The Executive Director for Accessibility at the University of Cincinnati is adding a Program Manager to a new office responsible for university-wide compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Rehabilitation Act, and other disability-related laws. This position will support the university in making data-driven decisions to increase the accessibility of campus for individuals with disabilities.

Position Summary

Assists the Executive Director for Accessibility in creating, monitoring and administering policies and procedures related to the Americans with Disabilities Act, Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, the EIT Accessibility policy and Corrective Action Strategy, and other relevant laws, policies and procedures. Supports the establishment of protocols and processes for organizing and maintaining university-wide accessibility related records, responding to records requests, and providing accurate data on office activities, goals and initiatives

Essential Characteristics
  • Compiles and maintains data to track compliance with ADA, 504/508 laws, policies and related procedures, including tracking accommodation requests and provisions for students, employees and visitors
  • Coordinates with UCIT, Digital Communications and other partner offices to centrally gather and analyze data related to the EIT Accessibility policy and the EIT Accessibility Corrective Action Strategy and contributes to progress reports to the Office for Civil Rights or other external agents
  • Utilizes data on electronic accessibility audits to oversee the annual reporting process for colleges and units as required by the EIT Accessibility Policy
  • Analyzes and applies data to create strategic communications, reports and compliance plans for the resolutions of complaints
  • Establishes a regular schedule for auditing campus accessibility data and make recommendations for implementing corrective action strategies to address gaps identified by accessibility audits
  • Reviews records for accuracy, completeness and to ensure compliance with policies and processes
  • Assists Executive Director in developing metrics to assess the effectiveness of university services and initiatives, providing recommendations based on analysis to promote a culture of continuous quality improvement

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors' degree with three (3) years' experience; -OR- Associate's degree with five (5) years' experience; -OR- seven (7) years' experience;.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in data analytics software such as Microsoft Excel or SAP
  • Experience implementing best practices in data collection and assessment
  • Ability to interact with stakeholders from all levels of a complex organization.
  • Working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, WCAG 2.0 web accessibility standards, and other disability non-discrimination provisions of state and local laws
  • At least 1-year experience in a compliance related role or office


This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
