UC is one of the largest employers in the Cincinnati region, employing over 15,000 full time and part time faculty, staff and student workers.The College of Medicine is currently recruiting for a full-time (100% FTE)Program Director for the Center for Improvement Science (CIS) / Center for Clinical and Translational Science and Training (CCTST).

Essential Functions:
  • Direct, plan, manage and facilitate programs.
  • Direct project teams, oversee group projects and provide guidance.
  • Develop and write program materials.
  • Coordinate programming and projects across CCTST partner institutions and the community.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Support the development and implementation of educational activities for trainees and faculty.
  • Perform related duties based on CIS and CCTST needs.


Characteristic Duties:

Administration
  • Coordinate interprofessional groups and project teams
  • Develop and maintain on-line CIS resources
  • Direct the CIS Director's Council
  • Function as a liaison between the CIS and CCTST core areas
  • Support the creation of NIH annual reports for the CIS and CCTST


Service Coordination
  • Work with institutions, teams, and individual to assess and define service needs related to training, grant support, or quality improvement
  • Assist with the creation of service reports
  • Development of educational materials related to CIS services
  • Help to develop data management plans


Education Programming and Services
  • Help design and implement education offerings (eg., workshops, seminars, courses, customized activities)
  • Coordinate logistics related to education activities
  • Organize appropriate teleconferencing technology to support education activities


And related other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree with three (3) years of experience; -OR- Associate degree with five (5) years of experience; -OR- seven (7) years of experience. Experience must be in program development or administration.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with developing and implementing educational programming. Experience with federal research and program grants. Expertise with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
