The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of CIncinnati is accepting applications for the position of Program Coordinator (NE). The "NE" qualifier designates the position as nonexempt, which means it is an hourly-paid position. The Program Coordinator in the Department of Biological Sciences is responsible for completing duties in the areas of Academic Supprt; Administrative Duties; and HR Support within the department as outlined below:
ACADEMIC SUPPORT
- Coordinate Undergraduate Program by:
- Ordering classes in Catalyst and doing class scheduling for all semesters (Fall, Spring and Summer)
- Assisting with registration and processing pre-requisite waiver permissions
- Curriculum management
- Coordinate course evaluation process
- Provide academic support to faculty, as needed:
- Make copies
- Managing office supplies and purchase as needed
- Maintain copiers, printers and other hardware equipment
- Order keys
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
- Coordinate and promote various department events including guest speakers and workshops
- Coordinate event logistics including room reservation/scheduling, etc.
- Coordinate presence on social media, graphic design and communications
HR SUPPORT DUTIES
- Coordinate Student Hiring Process
- Process hiring requests for Student Workers and Work Study students, as needed
- Monitor students schedules and time worked
- Serve as primary Timekeeper using UC-Flex for hourly student positions
- Cross-trained to serve as back-up to other department staff when sick or on vacation
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree with one (1) year experience; -OR- Associate's degree with three (3) years experience; -OR- five (5) years experience. Experience must be in program coordination

- Ability to work in a team setting
