Executive Staff Assistant, Music Education and Keyboard Divisions

The University of Cincinnati is one of the largest employers in the Cincinnati region, employing over 15,000 faculty, staff and student workers. UC's College-Conservatory of Music (CCM)'s Divisions of Music Education and Keyboard are recruiting for an Executive Staff Assistant. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all our activities.

Characteristic Duties

Manages accounting and budget functions for CCM Music Education and Keyboard Divisions which include serving as timekeeper for student accompanists as well as tracking their pay, account reconciliation, and ordering supplies and equipment. Provide Business Office with budgeting forecasts for current and future spending and monitor faculty awards. Support faculty through administration of course evaluations, scheduling, student academic audits and clerical duties, including maintenance of faculty and student files as well as written thank you notes to donors and applicants/graduates. Maintains division mailing lists and coordinates student teaching placements. Compiles and distributes weekly newsletter to Division of Music Education and tracks/graphs student enrollment data yearly. Coordinates recital committees, maintains recital evaluation records and submits grades for Keyboard Division. Acts as first point of contact for students and faculty of both divisions. Responsible for data collection for annual report to the Higher Education Arts Data Survey, required annually of all National Association of Schools of Music institutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with one (1) year experience; -OR- Associate's degree with three (3) years' experience; -OR- five (5) years' experience.

Experience must be in high-level administrative support.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft Office, alongside a readiness to learn many UC systems. Strong interpersonal skills will be important when dealing with students and faculty.

This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
