University of Cincinnati College of Medicine

Responsible for supporting quality improvement and value-based reimbursement efforts in the University of Cincinnati Faculty Practice Plan. This includes but is not limited to the analysis and monitoring of alternative payment models, supporting clinical and process improvement efforts, and coordinating best practices across departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Supports clinical teams to plan, design, and gather outcomes data for value-based payment programs. Compiles data into reports for leadership and for Quality committees, including an analysis of trends and patterns.
  2. Implements process redesign and monitors results for each provider to ensure maximum reimbursement related to quality.
  3. Supports department and physician leadership to track physician behavior to ensure to achieve payments desired outcomes for pay-for-performance, bundles and publicly reported metrics.
  4. Identifies problems that impede attainment of outcomes and implements corrective action.
  5. Conducts research regarding models of care to implement and maintain patient-centered medical home and patient-centered specialty practice recognition.
  6. Serves as an internal consultant on departmental improvement activities and as the lead for performance improvement projects. Functions as a liaison between divisions, departments, UCP and COM. Coordinates performance reporting and improvement across the department as it relates to the organization.
  7. Executes projects pertaining to clinical practice standards and the direction of the UCP Board.
  8. Completes projects as assigned by the Director of Quality.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and one year of experience
  • Ability to run and operate database system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office


PreferredQualifications :Four years of quality improvement experience preferably in an academic medical center or faculty practice plan.
